Pootler's Design Team - Week 4

How can it be the final week of the January Pootler's Design Team already?  I've loved playing with this gorgeous stamp set, and found it really difficult to choose just four creations to share with you.

Bella and Friends had been on my wish list since the launch of the current Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue (along with pretty much every other stamp set that hadn't yet made it into my ever growing collection - I'm such a stamp addict), and I'm delighted to share with you the final of my Bella and Friends creations for the Pootler's Design Team.

Do you ever find that you buy items for your crafting stash, but never get around to using it?  I'm the same, and something was calling me to finally open and use this gorgeous silver ribbon from the Autumn/Winter 2016 catalogue (now discontinued).  But I think it looks amazing paired with the Silver Glimmer Paper.

I started off by making the card blank out of a half sheet of Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock.  I then cut a piece of Real Red spotty paper (3 7/8" x 5 5/8") from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack, attaching it to the front of the card blank using Snail Adhesive.  I then cut a second piece of Real Red paper, this time with script (2" x 5 3/8") , adhering this to the left side of the spotty DSP.

The toppers were made by stamping the image from the Bella and Friends stamp set onto some Whisper White Cardstock, using my Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, before colouring it in using the NEW Watercolour Pencils, Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad, and Aqua Painters.  Once dry, using a 1 1/2" Circle Punch, I punched out each image.  The backgrounds for the toppers were then punched out of some Silver Glimmer Paper using my 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (discontinued, but you can use the Layering Circle Framelits Dies instead).  These were then stuck together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and then stuck in place onto the card.

The card was then finished off with a length of silver ribbon, stuck in place using Tear and Tape Adhesive.

I do hope you have enjoyed my creations for the January Pootler's Design Team, and I'd like to thank Sam (AKA Pootles) for the opportunity to join in.  Who knows, maybe I'll get a chance to take part again some time in the future.  I do hope so!

Pootler's Design Team - Week 3

Can you believe we're at Week 3 of the Pootler's Design Team for January?  Where is the month going?  So, as promised, for each Thursday in January, I'll be posting a project created using this little cutie...

Bella and Friends had been on my wish list since the launch of the current Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue (along with pretty much every other stamp set that hadn't yet made it into my ever growing collection - I'm such a stamp addict), and I'm delighted to share with you this week's Bella and Friends creation.

I have to admit, I've become slightly addicted to this watercolour technique.  Who would have thought that a Classic Stampin' Pad could be so versatile?  I know I didn't!

This week's project is created by stamping the image and greeting onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 3 5/8" x 5 3/8", using the Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad.  Once dry (which takes very little time), I then used one of my Aqua Painters and my Classic Stampin' Pad's (in Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive) to watercolour the image.

Once dry, using Snail Adhesive, I then mounted this image onto a piece of Island Indigo Cardstock, measuring 3 7/8" x 5 5/8".  This was then mounted onto a C6 card blank I created from half a sheet of A4 Whisper White Thick Cardstock, again using Snail Adhesive.

This is such a simple card to make, but I think its very effective and gorgeous.  I hope you do too!

Pootler's Design Team - Week 2

I was so excited to discover I'd been accepted onto the Pootler's Design Team for January, and even more so when I discovered which of the fab Stampin' Up! stamp sets I'd be playing with!  So for each Thursday in January, I'll be posting a project created using this little cutie...

Bella and Friends has been on my wish list since the launch of the current Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue (along with pretty much every other stamp set that hadn't yet made it into my ever growing collection - I'm such a stamp addict), and I'm delighted to share with you the second of my Bella and Friends creations.

I couldn't resist creating a card with an added bit of sparkle for this weeks project.  With the weather being cold and grey, I'm sure there is at least one person I can think of that would appreciate this Bella and Friends creation.

I made this card by cutting a sheet of Whisper White Thick Cardstock in half, then folded in half using the Stampin' Trimmer.  I then cut a piece of Wisteria Wonder Cardstock to , before mounting it to the front of the card using Snail Adhesive

Taking a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I then trimmed this to 3 5/8" x5 3/8", before stamping the dog and bird image in Basic Grey ArchivalStampin' Pad.  A second image (this time, just using the balloon) was then stamped onto a Wisteria Wonder sheet from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack, then cut out and stuck over the stamped balloon, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I also stamped the sentiment onto another piece of Whisper White Cardstock, before running it through my Big Shot with a Stitched Shape Framelits Die.  The image was then coloured in using an Aqua Painter and my Wisteria Wonder, Smoky Slate, Chocolate Chip, and Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pads.

Once dry, I created the glittery background by using a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, and once dry, attached this panel to the Wisteria Wonder panel on the card.  The sentiment was then attached to the card front using a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals.

Pootler's Design Team - Week 1

I was so excited to discover I'd been accepted onto the Pootler's Design Team for January, and even more so when I discovered which of the fab Stampin' Up! stamp sets I'd be playing with!  So for each Thursday in January, I'll be posting a project created using this little cutie...

Bella and Friends

Bella and Friends has been on my wish list since the launch of the current Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue (along with pretty much every other stamp set that hadn't yet made it into my ever growing collection - I'm such a stamp addict), and I'm delighted to share with you the first of my Bella and Friends creations.

I thought I'd start with a cute little 3" square Thank You card, perfect for popping into a bunch of flowers, or on top of a gift.

The card blank (3"x6") was cut from a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and scored down the centre using the Stampin' Trimmer.  Then, taking a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad I stamped the image of the bird (taken from Bella and Friends), and coloured the image using a watercolour technique with an Aqua Painter and Real Red, Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, and Elegant Eggplant Classic Stampin' Pads.  This was then cut out using my Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits Dies, and matted onto a scalloped circle of Real Red Cardstock, also cut from the Layering Circles Framelits.

The background was taken from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack and cut to 2 7/8"x2 7/8" (with an additional piece cut for inside of the card).  This was then applied to the card blank using Snail Adhesive, with the topper being applied to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The greeting on the inside of the card (also taken from Bella and Friends) was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad.  The greeting was then punched out using the Decorative Label Punch, and stuck in place using Snail Adhesive.
