Sketch Challenge Mojo436 - Ice Cream and Sprinkles

Its Saturday already!  How did that happen?  The past week seems to have flown by...

Today I'm taking part in this weeks Mojo Sketch Challenge, and as I couldn't decide between Blushing Bride and Pool Party, I made two cards, using both colours.  Which do you prefer?

Unusually for me, these cards were also made in C5 size (a sheet of A4, folded in half), and I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out.

My card was decorated with a white panel of card measuring, topped with a coloured panel of card measuring, topped with a sheet of Designer Series Paper (or DSP) measuring.  I then took my 1 1/2" Circle Punch and punched out four circles for each card from a sheet of DSP, and using my 1 3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, punched out four more circles in the same colour card as the card blank.  These were matted and layered together, before attaching to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Then, on a sheet of Shimmery White card, using a Basic Gray Archival Stampin' Pad, I stamped an ice cream, using Classic Stampin' Pads and Aqua Painters for a watercolour effect.  Once dry, they were cut out, stuck to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals, and matching Honeycomb Embellisments were applied.  The greeting was then stamped onto a piece of white card, measuring 1" x 3 1/2", using Basic Gray ink, and the end was then punched using the Banner Triple Punch, before sticking to the card (behind the scalloped circle) using Snail Adhesive.

A Week of Wildflower Fields - Day 4, Thank You So Much

Welcome to Day 4 of my Week of Wildflower Fields!  Today I teamed up the Wildflower Fields DSP with another Sale-A-Bration product, the Perfect Pairings stamp set.

I don't know about you, but I hate wasting my DSP.  With this in mind, I have created todays card...

Todays card is surprisingly simple to make.  You take your Whisper White card blank, then mat and layer a sheet of DSP with some more Whisper White card.  The greeting is stamped using the Perfect Pairings stamp set and Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad, then 1" wide strips of coordinating DSP are punched with the Triple Banner Punch, then arranged on the card and cut to size.  Once you are happy with the arrangement, stick in place.

A Week of Wildflower Fields - Day 2, Because You're So Nice

Welcome to Day 2 of my Week of Wildflower Fields!  Today I have decided to team up the Wildflower Fields DSP with another Sale-A-Bration product, the Botanicals For You Stamp Set...

And here is todays project, my Because You're So Nice greetings card.

This card is made using an A4 sheet of Whisper White card, cut in half and scored, to make an A5 card blank.  This is then topped with a piece of Wildflower Fields DSP cut to 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" (15cm x 10.5cm).  The main greeting, Just For You, is then stamped in Delightful Dijon, onto a piece of Whisper White card, then cut out once dry.  The secondary greeting, Because You're So Nice, is stamped onto a strip of Whisper White card 1" (2.5cm) wide.  Once dry, this is then trimmed to fit, using the Banner Triple Punch.  Both greetings are then adhered to the card blank using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I seem to have taken a shine to this little chick, and as such, have chosen to feature it in todays blog hop.  This card can easily be altered to suit the recipient, for example, swap Birthday Girl for Birthday Boy, and change the ink from Melon Mambo (pink) to Bermuda Bay (blue).  The stamp sets are so versatile!

For my project, I decided to use both the Honeycomb Happiness (below, top) and Hello (below, bottom) Sale-a-Bration stamp sets.
