Sale-A-Bration Metallic Glitter Tape Card

Today I'd like to share with you a card I created using the Metallic Glitter Tape (above) that you can get as one of your Sale-A-Bration freebies.  This tape is of a fantastic quality, I love it!  The glitter doesn't fall off like others I have tried, and the texture of the tape is rather papery, instead of plastic, which is great as you can tear it with ease - ideal if you're a little protective over your scissors and don't like them getting sticky (like me).

The background was created using one of my favourite stamp sets, Gorgeous Grunge.  I started with a panel of Whisper White card, cut to 5-3/8" x 3-5/8", and using a Melon Mambo, and a Sahara Sand Stampin' Pad, stamped the background as shown.  I then added a strip of the free Sale-a-Bration Glitter Tape to the right hand side of the panel.  The flower was stamped onto Melon Mambo card, using a Melon Mambo Stampin' Pad, then punched out using the coordinating Punch (you can buy the Flower Shop Stamp Set and Punch as part of a bundle, saving you 15%).  This was then finished off with some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

The stamped panel was then stuck to a panel of Melon Mambo, measuring 5-5/8" x 3-7/8", using Tear & Tape Adhesive, which was then stuck onto the front of a C6 card, made from Extra Thick Whisper White card.  The flower was stuck in place using a Stampin' Dimensional foam pad.

You don't have to stick to the colours I've used above.  The Metallic Glitter Tape looks fab in many different colourways, and here are a couple of other ideas.

Here are the links to the products used:

I do hope you like my card and have enjoyed this project.

Sketch Challenge Mojo438 - A Steaming Cuppa

What a foggy morning!  There is nothing I like more on a morning like today than a lovely warming cup of tea, my inspiration for todays card, and my entry into the Mojo Sketch Challenge 438.

To make this card, I cut an A4 sheet of Wisteria Wonder card in half, then scored to create my card blank.  Then I selected a sheet of DSP from the Have A Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack, trimmed it down to 5-3/8" x 3-5/8", then stuck it to a panel of Whisper White card measuring 5-5/8" x 3-7/8".  A Tea Lace Paper Doilie was then stuck onto the panel, and a length of Whisper White Satin Ribbon was wrapped around the card (this was stuck in place with a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive, leaving the backing in place).  This panel was then stuck to the card blank using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Taking dies from the Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies set, the topper was created by die cutting a cup from Wisteria Wonder card, and the decoration to the cup and steam were die cut from a scrap of Whisper White card.  Once the decoration had been stuck to the cup (using Multi Purpose Liquid Glue), a sparkle was added using a Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush pen, and again to the steam.  The cup was then finished with a layer of Crystal Effect.  This was then left overnight for the Crystal Effect to set/dry, then both were attached to the card using Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.

Here are the products used to create todays card:

A Week of Gift Packaging - Day 4, Chocolate Slider

Welcome to day 4 of my Week of Gift Packaging.

Todays make, the chocolate slider, is a quickie.  Great for a last minute treat, or for making multiples of, and from a single sheet of 6x6" Designer Series Paper.

Simply score your sheet of DSP on one side at 1", then turn and score the next side at 2 1/2" and 5".  Fold and burnish your score lines, then cut away the excess to look like the image below.  Using a 1/2" Circle Punch, punch holes in the centre of what will be the top of your slider (the easiest way to line them up is to fold the slider as though you are sticking it together, then punch the hole).

Using Fast Fuse Adhesive, stick the slider together with the tabs on the inside.  Then, take a length of ribbon, long enough to contain your chocolate treat and be tied.

Next, thread the ribbon through the holes in your slider, then add your chocolate treat.  Slide your chocolate treat into the slider, and tie the ribbon.  You're done!

A Week of Wildflower Fields - Day 5, Tab Top Gift Box

Welcome to Day 5 of my Week of Wildflower Fields!  Today I have created a lovely little gift box using the Wildflower Fields DSP and the Envelope Punch Board.

You need to start with a piece of DSP measuring 6" x 6".  Then, using the Envelope Punch Board, punch and score at 2" and 4", on all 4 sides.  Fold and burnish these score lines, then punch a 1/4" hole for the ribbon in two of the "tags" (on opposite sides of the box).  Assemble as above, using Snail Adhesive, then punch out an Old Olive scalloped circle, followed by a Whisper White circle, then stamp the greeting into the centre of the white circle.  Assemble and stick to the box using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Cut a length of Whisper White ribbon, thread through the holes made in the tabs, and tie.  Voila, a small gift box!

Pinkies Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop!  We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using new Stampin' Up!® products that you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration.  Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

I seem to have taken a shine to this little chick, and as such, have chosen to feature it in todays blog hop.  This card can easily be altered to suit the recipient, for example, swap Birthday Girl for Birthday Boy, and change the ink from Melon Mambo (pink) to Bermuda Bay (blue).  The stamp sets are so versatile!

For my project, I decided to use both the Honeycomb Happiness (below, top) and Hello (below, bottom) Sale-a-Bration stamp sets.

Why don't you click on Next Blog below and visit another Pinkies blog.  I'm confident you'll like what you see!

Sale-a-Bration Launch Party Blog Hop

Happy New Year and Welcome to the first of two Pootlers blog hops for January.  This month we're excited to share with you both the "Spring/Summer 2016" and the "Sale-a-Bration" catalogues, which went live on Tuesday 5th January, and we hope will inspire you to get creative!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Camille Moriarty - or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the "next" button further down to continue your journey on this blog hop.

Sale-a-Bration is an annual event with Stampin' Up! where you can earn free products when you Shop, Join, or Host a party/workshop.  Some products are available throughout Sale-a-Bration (5th January - 31st March 2016), whereas others are for a limited time during this period.  I chose to work with the "Sky Is The Limit" stamp set, which is one of these limited time products, available until 15th February only.

I don't know about you, but I seem to find crafting cards for the men in my life a challenge.  I always feel out of my depth, or that my men's cards are a little on the dull side, but this was not the case with this stamp set.  Not only can you use this stamp set to create Birthday cards for the men in your life, but you can also create Congratulations cards, or even, date I say it, Valentines Day cards!  And cards not just for him (women like planes and flying to)!

You can view the creations of other Pootlers by clicking on the Next and Previous buttons below

In addition to the "Sky Is The Limit" stamp set, I also used the following products from Stampin' Up!

I hope you have enjoyed this project.

Don't forget when you order your Stampin' Up! goodies, use the reward code to get free products (reward code shown in the to right of my blog is the current one).  If your order is over £150, please do not use this code as you then qualify for Hostess Rewards.  And remember, during Sale-a-Bration, you get to choose a free product from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue for every £45 you spend!

Sale-a-Bration Preview

Sale-a-Bration launches tomorrow, and I'm so excited!  For those of you that are new to Stampin' Up!, Sale-a-Bration is a fantastic event that enables you to earn yourself even more free products than you would normally, and for a much lower order amount!

One of the free stamp sets you can choose from is Sky is the Limit.  I think this is a great stamp set for the men in your life, especially if, like me, your stamp collection is mostly Christmas or butterflies and flowers!

I decided to incorporate a stamp from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set (in the main catalogue) for the clouds, and I think it turned out pretty well.

I hope you come back tomorrow for more Sale-a-Bration ideas, bit in the meantime, here is a list of the products I used (in addition to Sky is the Limit) to create this card.

I hope you have enjoyed this project.

Please do use the reward code to get free products (reward code shown in the to right of my blog is the current one).  If your order is over £150, please do not use this code as you then qualify for Hostess Rewards.

Sparkly Seasons Snowman Snow Globe

Where has the year gone?  I can't quite believe that it's Christmas in just three days.  Three days!  I'm nowhere near ready for the festivities that follow a visit from Santa...

I wanted to share with you another of my Christmas makes.  Somehow, no matter how many cards I make in advance, I always run out and need to make more at the last minute.  So here is my latest make.

With some silver embossing and glitter snow, I think this snowman looks simply adorable in his snow globe.

Part of the "Sparkly Seasons" stamp set, this snowman is only available for a limited time, while stock lasts, and now at a reduced price!

Here are the products used

Crazy Crafters and Pootlers Blog Hop

Welcome to the Crazy Crafter's / Pootlers blog hop for December.  This month we're excited to share with you the "Spring/Summer 2016 and Sale-a-Bration" sneak peeks, which we hope will inspire you to get creative too!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Camille Moriarty - or may have come from the person previous to me - Jessie Holton.  Be sure to click on the "next" button further down to continue your journey on this blog hop.

This month, we (the Pootlers, in the UK) are joining forces with the Crazy Crafter's (Australia) fit the blog hop.  Thanks to the Crazy Crafter's for inviting us Pootlers to join in!

Now on to my creation...

The brief given was to create something using just one punch or die, one stamp set, one designer series paper, and one ink, from the upcoming Spring/Summer / Sale-a-Bration catalogue.

Choosing just one design was so difficult, as I fell in love with almost everything, but I eventually settled on the "You're So Lovely" stamp set, teamed up with the "Have A Cuppa" designer series paper stack, "Have A Cuppa" cardstock pack, and "Wisteria Wonder" Stampin' pad.

I can't wait to share with you some of my other creations from the Spring/Summer and Sale-a-Bration catalogues, so please do hop back again some time soon!

Why not take a peek at what other Crazy Crafters and Pootlers have created by clicking "Next/Previous" below.

Here is the list of everyone taking part in today's blog hop, and as usual, you can find a list of the Stampin' Up! products I used in my project below.

Remember, for every £45 you spend on Stampin' Up! products during Sale-a-Bration (5th January - 31st March '16), you get to chose a FREE product from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue!  Look out for more details nearer the time.

Thanks for stopping by,

Camille x
